Geraldine Hill, my partner of just over twenty years was a heroine. She endured the consequences of labels of anxiety, depression, social phobia, agoraphobia and bulimia for all of her adult life. This collection of poetry transcribes her daily battles and triumphs. I hope that by reading these poems, you will be inspired in your own lives. It was a privilege to be a companion on part of that journey. It was only after she died when I read extracts from her top-secret journal that she had decided not to shred, that I fully understood the daily psychological and emotional battles she fought to lead, a fulfilling life that we all take for granted.
