Making lemonade from lemons

Sometimes, it’s easier to tell a white lie
It’s a lie
But how far from the truth is this?
Complete and utter fabrication
And concealing
Yet liars always get found out
No matter how much rope they have
Eventually
The noose around their neck
The slip up phrase
Tied up in knots
Much easier to take the risk
I guess?
Making excuses is just the same
As hiding what’s underneath
As sooner or later
Getting caught up in the trap
Beyond belief
So maybe it’s easier to tell the truth
For sure
After all
Make the most of every situation
For what it’s worth
Treating everyone with the respect
That they deserve
Even if it hurts right now
Going on to discover more truth
Not lies, is more appealing
Knowing what you are worth
Is of importance
Knowing how to unravel the truth
From the lies that were spun
It’s a given skill
Sweet soon becomes sour
Give it time
No matter how good
Bitter, twisted
The mind games that were played
The lies that were said
Making the most of every given situation
Having the power to run from situations
That we find ourselves in
Blind
Those where we have to lie ourselves out of
Or indeed, lie about ourselves
To protect others
So they don’t find out
Just to make it our pleasure ground
To make excuses
Hiding the truth
Making no sound
Ghosting
I hear it’s called
It doesn’t make sense
No brighter
Or bigger picture
Found
To create then escape
From fantasy
To face reality
When what is needed
Is common ground
Nothing makes sense
In these territories
To stay firm-footed
On solid ground
Is sound
To tell the truth
The only honest truth
Integrity is allowed
Well, to reveal the lies
To unravel the web of deception
Is only adding to the confusion
To unveil the truth is better
Or not even to do it in the first place,
Ever, is best
So, is it safer to make excuses?
Is it best to lie undercover?
Is it better to lie about our pasts?
Or should we tell the truth?
There is no question
Neither contemplation
Trust is trust.
Truth is truth
Constantly running
We shift
We sort
We work it out
Like the saying
‘Making lemonade with lemons’
So easy to do
Full on
Squeeze and extract
When there’s nothing else to do
Take heed and relax
Make the best of every situation
No matter how hard it gets
No point in lying through your teeth
A falseness surrounds, a facade
Accept
Make the best of what you’ve got
Underneath your feet
Leads to truth
Follow your gut
Nothing but the truth
Away from lies and falseness
Deceit
Truthfully and honestly
Reveal the truth
Turn the sourest lemon
Sweet
And give it your best shot
The truth lies in the goodness of the lemons
Carefully hand-picked
Every lemon juiced can turn to fizz
So, remember this
The question is
Can you turn lemons into lemonade?
Do the right, just thing
And the answer is, yes
You just did
For the best is better than what you’ve not got
Or what you have got
Indeed
Face the possible
Face the lies and confront the liars
Make the most of what you’ve got
Truth
